Method
Why three sessions.
Spacing works. Most apps implement it as a queue you visit whenever you remember to. Gesprek implements it as a timetable, because a timetable is a thing you can actually keep.
1 · The interval ladder
0, 1, 3, 7, 16, 35, 70 days. Right moves you up one rung; wrong drops you two, or all the way to today after a third lapse. No ease factor — one bit of feedback per attempt makes an ease term noise.
2 · Blame, distributed
Get a sentence wrong and the penalty is split across its scored words in proportion to how weak each already was. Strong words survive one slip; weak words move fast.
3 · Reweighting, not importing
Weak words appear in more of the sentences coming up, and mastered words fade out — but always from inside the topic you chose. Nothing is ever pulled in from elsewhere.
4 · Decay
Word strength has a 30-day half-life, and a mastered word drifts back into the pool if it goes untouched for 21 days. Nothing stays learned by having been learned once.
Function words are excluded from scoring — articles, personal pronouns, the commonest prepositions. Subordinating conjunctions and modal particles (dat, omdat, of, toch, wel) are kept: they are the explicit teaching target of B1 and B2, and excluding them would make each level's core grammar unmeasurable.
