This page lists every cookie Gesprek sets today, and what we intend to add.
What we set today
Gesprek currently sets two cookies, both strictly necessary to run the service: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and a language-preference cookie that remembers your interface language. Neither is used for advertising or tracking, and neither requires consent under EU law because both are necessary for a service you’ve asked for.
What we plan to add
We intend to adopt PostHog (EU Cloud) for product analytics, including anonymised session replay to see how the app is actually used. That cookie is not essential, so it will never load before you’ve made an active choice in an on-screen banner — with “reject” exactly as prominent as “accept” — and this page will be updated the moment it goes live. Anything you type into a practice card will be masked in any session replay.
How to control cookies
You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings; doing so for the session cookie will simply sign you out. Once the analytics banner above exists, you’ll also be able to change your choice from a link in the footer of every page.
